LOCAL enterprises resuming work after Feb. 9 are required to strictly implement quarantine, inspection and health protection measures, according to a circular issued by the city’s new coronavirus pneumonia epidemic prevention and control headquarters.

Companies should establish an accountability system and draw up a contingency plan and work measures for epidemic prevention and control, the circular specified.

Meanwhile, enterprises should inquire about each employee’s location of origin as well as their whereabouts for the 14 previous days. Companies should compile a list of workers who have traveled to or returned from key epidemic-stricken areas, and such employees should be advised not to temporarily refrain from returning to work.

Companies are also required to find out what time the returned workers who have traveled to or returned from key epidemic-stricken areas arrived in the city and ensure that they are quarantined for 14 days and display normal temperatures before going back to their positions.

According to the circular, enterprises should prepare health products like infrared thermometers, disinfectants and masks.

For enterprises with dormitories, temporary isolation quarters shall be set up, and single and relatively independent rooms shall be arranged for returned workers from epidemic-stricken areas.

Companies that do not meet the conditions for workers’ isolation and observation must find other accommodations and report to the community in accordance with the arrangements of the subdistrict office.

Enhanced inspections and health checks must be implemented, the circular said. Enterprises shall check the temperatures of all personnel before they enter the workplace, report the health conditions of employees according to instructions, keep the workplace well ventilated, and do frequent cleaning and disinfection.

All kinds of enterprises in the city should report to the district’s epidemic prevention and control headquarters at least five days in advance before resuming work, on the premise that the above-mentioned conditions are met, according to the circular.

Enterprises with more than 300 employees shall report to the district’s epidemic prevention and control headquarters, while firms with less than 300 workers shall report to the sub district relevant organization for epidemic prevention and control.
